How techniques such as Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Coaching and Reflection can be used to bring balance to both your professional and personal life.
There are many benefits to establishing a simple practice of introspection and mindfulness from helping you to live more in the present to help to deal with chaos and change to finding meaning and purpose and developing more self-acceptance, improved self-esteem and better relationships. There are practical applications also in the area of both life and career development.
As a coach, I use a variety of techniques and coaching styles in my practice, which are wholly dependent on the person I am working with and their given set of circumstances. An example of some of the techniques and approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, Person-Centered Coaching and using a Mindfulness-based approach when coaching. All of which are evidenced based with their foundations being built from a positive psychology framework.
On a practical level, much evidence exists and points to the positive effects of using such approaches in both a personal and professional context, such as in the management of stress, anxiety and in improving performance and the quality of relationships in the workplace and ultimately fulfilling one’s potential.
Furthermore, when this more self-aware and mindful approach is applied in the workplace, more thoughtful decision making, creativity and the ability to develop an authentic leadership style occurs. Additionally, this can help achieve a more favourable and positive work-life blend.
This talk and workshop will focus on the use and application of these techniques in Career and Business Coaching, with particular emphasis on coaching women from a practical perspective for use in everyday life.
